Enduring for Someone Else

How many of us are willing to put aside our hurt pride simply because the person that hurt us or annoyed us...or we've had enough of...really really needed us?

If we were to write off all the people that hurt us, then we would spend the rest of our lives totally and completely alone. Granted, there are some people that deserve to be written off, and yea, it's really hard to 'live like it never happened', but at the end of the day, there are some people who are willing to push aside their own feelings... turn the other cheek as it were... so that the other person can be happy.

Or something.

That being said, one still has to be careful not to become a doormat.

I've done that before, it can be the first step towards repairing a relationship you thought was beyond repair.

I don't think it can be as simple as if you were that important they wouldn't hurt you. Many people, whether it is a family member, a spouse, a longtime friend, a boyfriend/girlfriend say and do things to hurt people that they love.

That's a human thing. Forgiveness on the other hand is divine.

Hmm...well if they REALLY needed me...if they were destitute, or dying, then maybe.
